Rogue Guide
Rogues are melee attackers who cause massive damage to their enemies by launching a flurry of attacks, they closely resemble assassins and are trained for stealth and fast kills which makes them ideal gold hunters in WoW. The assassins are also experienced escape artist as they can quickly escape almost any battle.
The rogues can disarm any traps set, such as those set by the hunters, they can also open doors and chests and whilst the agility of the assassin is very high, this reduces the need of a high defence for the rogue. The rogue is playable by almost any race, although some races of rogues have an advantage over the others such as elves who have a higher speed than the rest, the basic powers of rogues are the same so it doesn’t matter what race you pick, all are good for getting gold and drops in World of Warcarft.
The rogue has quick abilities and hence the attacks are also quick. The rogue can kill an enemy very fast, but the rogue has almost no spells or magic powers, which places it at a disadvantage against the other classes.
The stealth ability of a rogue enables him to become invisible to the enemy but the speed of the rogue is reduced. The rogue also has some opening attacks which give the rogue some advantage at the beginning of the battle for example: Cheap shot is such an attack, in this attack the rogue stuns the target for 4 seconds, making the target vulnerable to attack.
Ambush is another opening attack, in this attack the rogue must wield a dagger and must be behind the enemy; this allows the rogue to ambush the enemy. Garrote is the last of the opening attacks, in this attack the rogue garrote’s the enemy and causes damage over a period of 18 seconds.
Apart from opening attacks the rogue class also has damaging attacks. The “sinister” attack deals damage to the enemy along with the damage dealt by the weapon the rogue is carrying. Riposte is an attack that causes your weapon to deal 150% of its normal damage, along with stunning the enemy. Backstab also deals damage to the opponent in WoW.
Following on from starter and damage attacks the rogue also has finishing attacks. Slice and dice and rupture are both finishing attacks that are meant to be used when the rogue has low health.
Apart from all these attacks the rogue also has additional attacks such as adrenaline rush, feint, blind and many others.
The rogues also have a few weaknesses, such as their low armor and their inability to heal but is still a valued member of any group in World of Warcraft as the rogue has special abilities that no other class has.
In conclusion the rogue class is meant for players who like to attack unsuspecting foes, and for players who don’t like being attacked by their foes making them fast to level and earn alot of gold.
